We offer delivery of our gifts to any physical address within the 50 United States. And, we have a selection of items that can be shipped to APO - FPO Boxes. See gift category titled APO-FPO Gift Packs for this selection. (We cannot ship to P O Boxes or foreign addresses.)
Do you ship to businesses, hospitals and hotels?
Yes. This type of package will most likely be delivered to a reception desk or a shipping/receiving department. To ensure that it is properly routed you need to clearly specify on our order form to whose “Attention” the gift should be sent. You may also want to notify the recipient or someone else within the business that a “surprise, perishable” package will be delivered soon.
Frequently by the time a gift arrives at a hospital or hotel, the patient/guest is no longer there. Therefore, we recommend that you have your gift shipped to the recipient’s office or residence so they are sure to receive it.
Please note, you are still responsible for payment of the gift and any shipping charges incurred even if the recipient is not available to receive the package or if the business is closed for the day.
How soon will my order ship?
All of our gift baskets are assembled after receipt of order to maintain freshness. Gift orders and fruit orders placed Monday through Friday will be processed and shipped the next business day or sooner. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday and holidays will be processed and shipped the next business day.
To maintain the quality of the fruit gifts that we sell, during the summer months we will not ship fruit gifts over the weekend! Therefore, some orders may be held and shipped on Monday.
What shipping carriers do you use?
Gifted Lady Gift Baskets proudly uses UPS, FedEx or DHL for all shipments to physical addresses. All shipments to APO and FPO addresses will be sent via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail.
How long will ground shipping take?
Under normal conditions, your package should be delivered within 2-5 business days after shipment. Please note, most carriers do not include the day the package is shipped in their transit time calculations.
Why do you charge shipping when some companies don’t?
We itemize your order so you can see exactly what you are paying for your gift, shipping and sales tax (if applicable). We do not increase our sales price to cover these costs and then advertise ‘free shipping’.
How do I check status of my order?
If requested, we will email you shipment notification with a tracking number and tracking instructions so you can track your order online.
Can I change shipping information after my order is placed?
If you wish to change a shipping address or realize you made an error in the address when you placed your order, please notify us immediately! If your order has not shipped yet, we will be glad to make any necessary address changes. However, if your gift has already been picked up by the carrier, we will contact them and “attempt” to reroute the package to the correct address. Carriers are sometimes unsuccessful in rerouting a package even if they’ve been given the new/correct address. Gifted Lady Gift Baskets will incur a $15.00 rerouting fee for this “attempt” (even if it was unsuccessful) and will pass this fee on to you by billing your credit card for $15.00.
Shipping method can only be changed if the order has not yet shipped.
What happens if I supply an incorrect or incomplete shipping address?
If you do not contact us with the correct/complete information prior to your gift being picked up by the carrier, Gifted Lady Gift Baskets will charge you a $15.00 address correction fee. This fee, that we will bill to your credit card, covers the fee Gifted Lady Gift Baskets incurs any time the carrier needs to make an address correction or when a suite number/apartment number is not supplied. A fee is also incurred and will be passed on to you the customer any time a zip code, city and state do not match.
Packages delivered late or misdelivered due to missing address information or incorrect address supplied by customer will not be eligible for return, refund or credit.
Therefore, please double check every aspect of the shipping address when placing your order!
What is an “undeliverable” package?
Any package that a carrier is unable to deliver is called an undeliverable package. They may be unable to deliver it for a number of reasons including:
an incorrect or incomplete address/zip code/phone number
no one is available to accept the delivery
recipient refuses the package
the business that the package was shipped to prohibits the receipt of personal packages and therefore refuses the package
Who is responsible if a package is “undeliverable” or lost?
All items purchased from Gifted Lady Gift Baskets are shipped F.O.B. Shipping Point. This means that risk of loss and ownership of product passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier. However, due to our desire to provide you with outstanding customer service we will handle “undeliverable” and “lost” claims as follows:
If a carrier deems a package to be undeliverable and returns it to us we will only hold you financially responsible for a 25% restocking fee and all shipping charges assessed by the carrier. (Shipping charges usually consist of shipping to the recipient, shipping incurred to return the package and any attempted address correction fees.) A refund or credit will be applied to your credit card only upon return of the merchandise.
If a package is deemed lost by the carrier, we will place a claim with them and issue you a full refund or ship a replacement gift whichever you prefer. If you wish us to ship a replacement gift we will do so at no charge assuming the replacement is shipped via the same shipping method as the original gift.
